Worship

While every authentic disciple of Christ seeks to worship the Lord individually every day (Romans 12:1-2) and to glorify the Lord in all that we do (Colossians 3:23-24), the public assemblying of ourselves together as taught in scripture (Hebrews 10:25) is a time for the family of God to come together in worship and praise to God and to be encouraged and strengthened in our walk with the Lord.

The Sunset Ridge Church of Christ is a Bible-based, Christ-centered, independent Christian fellowship in pursuit of authentic, non-denominational Christianity. We seek to worship God "in spirit and truth" as Jesus taught (John 4:24). We invite you to come experience simple, joyful worship as set forth in the pages of God's holy word - free from all the denominational doctrines and religious traditions of men.

SINGING
Our public worship together includes a cappella congregational singing; consistent with the teaching of the Bible that we are to speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. (Ephesians 5:19) (Colossians 3:16)

PRAYING
Prayer is an important part of every assembly. We rejoice for our many blessings and give thanks to Jesus as our Lord and Savior. (I Thessalonians 5:17)

LORD'S SUPPER
We share together in the Lord's Supper (communion) every Sunday, the first day of the week... as exemplified in scripture by the 1st century Christians. (Acts 20:7)

PREACHING
Preaching and teaching from the holy and inspired Word of God, the Bible, is a regular part of our weekly Bible classes and worship assemblies. (Matthew 28:19-20)

GIVING
Christians are encouraged to give of our means each week as we are able and have purposed in our hearts. (1 Corinthians 6:1- 2)
